NextSilicon is looking for a talented and experienced engineer to join our exceptional BE team for the next generation of the company’s SOC. In this role, you will be responsible for running and analyzing ESD and EM simulations to verify reliability and performance. This role involves ensuring the design meets stringent reliability standards for ESD, EM, and other critical layout requirements. In this role, you will also be expected to run the Physical verification flows (DRC, LVS) and be able to resolve the violations independently. The ideal candidate will have experience with physical verification flows, EDA tools, and a strong understanding of process design rule
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in physical design, with a strong emphasis on EM/IR and good knowledge on all aspects of power grid design including ESD.
- Big advantage, experience in all aspects of physical verification (LVS, DRC).
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools (e.g., Cadence Voltus, Synopsys PrimeRail, Calibre) for EM, IR, and physical verification.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor design processes and constraints.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex design issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed EM and IR drop analysis to assess and mitigate power and reliability issues.
- Ensure power integrity and reliability by optimizing power distribution networks and reducing IR drop effects.
- Collaborate with design and verification teams to meet EM/IR constraints and specifications.
- Execute comprehensive physical verification, including LVS, DRC, and ESD checks, to ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Work closely with the layout team to resolve complex LVS and DRC issues, ensuring adherence to design rules and reliability requirements.
- Implement ESD guidelines and perform verification to enhance product robustness and reduce the risk of electrostatic damage.
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including front-end design, test, and product engineering, to ensure seamless design flow and validation.
- Provide expertise and guidance on EM, IR, and physical verification methodologies, staying updated with the latest industry practices and tools.
